Mid Rogue Fire District is a newly established rural fire protection district serving the areas surrounding the City of Grants Pass in Josephine County, Oregon. Created to ensure the delivery of reliable and sustainable fire protection and emergency response, the district is currently in its foundational stage with no tax base or infrastructure in place.
Through a formal service agreement with Rural Metro Fire Department of Josephine County, the district ensures the provision of all-hazard fire and emergency response services within its boundaries. This partnership allows for continuity of public safety while the district builds the policies, systems, and future resources necessary for independent operations.
Governance
Mid Rogue Fire District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors, elected by and accountable to the residents of the district. The Board is responsible for setting policy, ensuring compliance with Oregon law, establishing long-term strategic direction, and managing the district’s financial and administrative framework.
